Community Service Director
Once described as the "heartbeat of Rotary," Community
Service, the third Avenue of Service, is a multi-pronged effort to
improve the quality of life within a village or municipality.
Rotarians have long been making substantial and lasting
contributions to their communities. To a large extent, Rotary's
reputation is built on the Community Service projects undertaken by
Rotarians.
Rotarians have been deeply involved in serving
their communities since the establishment of the first club. The
history of every Rotary club contains a record of projects
reflecting the third part of Rotary's Object: "The application of
the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and
community life."
Duties
The Community Service Director shall
be responsible for overseeing all community service activities and shall
supervise and coordinate the work of all committees appointed on
particular phases of community service.
