MINUTES OF SUNRISE ROTARY BOARD

December, 2002

Meeting was called to order by President Julie Brunner at 7:00 a.m. at the Wild Huckleberry.

Old business:

  1. Storage cabinet rears its ugly head again. Don reported it is purchased and will be up by next week.
  2. Rocking chair rocks on. Will be done soon.
  3. Attendance sheet - delinquent secretary forgot it. Will bring soon.

New Business:

  1. President read a letter from the Red Lion thanking us for being pleasant to work with regarding the new breakfast system.
  2. Julie presented a questionnaire she will take care of.
  3. We received a letter from Good Grief, asking for a $20 donation. We will send $40.
  4. JoAnn asked about a fund raiser: Wine tasting party next August. Idea from Bill McDowell, and Ardie Lowe.
  5. Russian Real Estate Agents coming March 13, for three weeks.

    11 Agents and 2 interpretors. We are working with the local Realtor Association concerning the program. We will get gifts for them from Rotary. Working on an evening at the Museum, bringing in someone from Olympia for the orientation, and other interesting ideas. Sarah said the District has a gift pin with Washington/Canada flags on it. Carol will look into these things, as well as meet with the Realtors.

  6. Milt is orienting the new members within the next couple of weeks.
  7. Milt needs a few more people to run for Director. The Board discussed Presidential Candidate possibilities.
